AverVision 110 Object Camera Instructions

  • Log in to the instructor's computer workstation and power on the projector
  • RGB1 (computer) input setting should be established by default
    • Otherwise, select this setting via the projector remote control
  • Turn the camera on using the gray power button on the base (detail)
    • The LED indicator on the base will turn green when the unit is on
  • Place an object or document below the lens

To project the image, you must use the ATI camera software:

  • Double click the Camera Player (TV) icon on the desktop to launch the camera software.
  • The ATI camera software will open with the document/object displayed
  • Maximize to full screen by clicking the icon on the upper right corner of the screen
    • Hit Esc to return to the regular desktop view
  • Right click on the controller for menu options
    • Choose Hide Controls to make the controller disappear
  • Right click on the screen and choose Show Controls to get it back
  • Use the F2 key to toggle the controls on/off

Using the light and document positioning laser pointers:

  • When the camera is on, the light/laser positioning unit is powered as well
  • Move the switch on the hood unit to toggle between settings

To zoom, focus, or orient:

  • The camera arm is flexible; use the gooseneck to raise or lower (zoom)
  • Fine tune the focus by using the white control located on the camera lens hood
  • Orient object view by rotating the object, or by rotating the hood of the camera

To capture a still image:

  • Click the camera icon on the controller
    • The image is saved temporarily to the computer's clipboard
  • Open PowerPoint, Word, or a photo editing application
    • Use the Edit menu to choose Paste
    • Use the File menu to choose to save this file
