Meeting Maker Calendar
St. Lawrence University uses Meeting Maker as its faculty and staff calendaring system. If you are interested in using Meeting Maker, please contact the Helpdesk at x5770 or helpdesk@stlawu.edu and we can create an account for you. Please note that for home users and mobile users, we suggest the use of the Meeting Maker web application instead of the client
as it does not require the use of the SLU VPN client.

Update:
3/4/2008
- Meeting Maker events might be off by one hour between March 9th and April 6th of 2008
- The reason for this is that Corporate Time did not properly address the change in Daylight Savings Time.
- Any meetings converted from Corporate Time to Meeting Maker set to occur between March 9th and April 6th will be shifted ahead by one hour. New meetings created in Meeting Maker are not affected.
- Please check events between March 9th and April 6th to verify that the times are correct.
- The Corporate Time server is scheduled to be decommissioned on May 1st 2008
- After this date, we will no longer be able to retrieve historical calendaring data, so please verify that you have all of the historical data that you need.

Differences between Meeting Maker and Corporate Time (Oracle)Calendar
Daily Notes and Banners
- In Oracle Calendar (Corporate Time), we used Daily Notes for things like marking vacations, etc. In Meeting Maker, Banners are similar in functionality but you cannot add other users.
Designate Rights and Proxy
- In Oracle Calendar, we allowed others to view our calendar by “Designating” them rights. To view another user’s calendar, you went to File, Open as Designate, Agenda. In Meeting Maker, to allow others to view your calendar, you share your calendar or give them “Proxy” access. To do this, go to Proxy, Share and then add the users or groups.
In Tray and Proposals
- In Oracle Calendar, we accepted Meetings and Notes from the “In-Tray”. In Meeting Maker, you will see invitations to meetings in the “Proposals” window. Here you can accept and decline meetings.
How to check for Conflicts?
