i>clicker Audience Response System

Students: Register your clicker
Register your i>clicker at http://www.iclicker.com/registration by entering your name, student ID number (found on your student ID card), and your 8-digit alphanumeric remote ID found on the back of your clicker. If your instructor uses Sakai, you may also register via the i>clicker tool in Sakai.

Your registration is good for all courses and for as long as you own your clicker.  If you purchase a new clicker, register again with the new remote ID.  Contact our  help desk at 315-229-5770 with questions.

What is i>clicker?
The i>clicker audience response system is a set of small wireless (RF) transmitters by which students respond to questions and software by which faculty compose questions and track responses. Consider the following applications for your classroom:

  • as a pretest -- determine level of students' understanding, adjust instruction accordingly
  • as a posttest -- assess and adjust lesson planning for the next class using informal/untracked assessment or a quiz
  • in review -- for midterm or final exams

For more information about the pedagogy of this technology, see "7 things you should know about ... Clickers" (PDF) and "Tips for Successful Clicker Use" (PDF). You may also contact the IT help desk at 315-229-5770 and request a consultation with a member of the educational technologies team to discuss using i>clicker.
