Telecommunications
Our telecom office provides voice communications, voicemail, and related services to the students, faculty and staff of St. Lawrence University. The office also provides consulting services for moves, adds, and changes throughout the campus and information related to telecommunications.
Cell Phone Availability
The majority of students at St. Lawrence University bring a personal cell phone to campus. Verizon and AT&T are the recommended cell carriers in the area.
Student Telephone Information
Telephone service is provided in all residence halls, however you need to provide your own telephone. All on campus, local and toll free calls are free of charge. To dial off campus, you must first dial 8. (Ex: 8-379-5555 or 8-1-800-212-5555) To dial long distance, you must use a calling card. Calling cards can be purchased from the Brewer Bookstore.

International Dialing
To dial international, you must also use a calling card. If you are looking for the correct country codes, try this helpful tool. It can also tell you time difference and the current exchange rate compared to the US dollar!
Looking for an on campus phone number?
Use the Automated Directory Service, by dialing 7411 (or 229-7411 from off campus) on any touchtone phone. You will be prompted to spell the last name of the person you are trying to call. The system will transfer you as well as provide the campus phone number of the person you are trying to reach.
Voicemail
Voicemail boxes are provided upon request to students at St. Lawrence. To request a voicemail box, please contact the IT HelpDesk at x5770 or by emailing helpdesk@stlawu.edu
