Additional Note:
I have been affiliated with the university since 1996, when my wife, Cathy Crosby-Currie, became a faculty member in the Psychology Department. Over the intervening years, I have taught courses in Photography, Digital Imaging, and Digital Art for the Fine Arts Department; and taught the Laboratory component of the Introductory Psychology course for a year. Along the way, I have also worked slowly but surely toward a Masters in Education at St. Lawrence -- which I finally completed in May 2009. One year earlier, I joined the IT staff. When folks ask me what I do, I used to give them my title, "Educational Technologies Training Coordinator," to which their eyes would glaze over. What I actually do is all I can to help students, faculty, and staff learn, teach, and work more efficiently and effectively using technology. How do I do this? Through directing the TECprogram and facilitating and providing direct training and support.
