What is ResNet?
IT will be in the Hannon Room of the Sullivan Student Center during Orientation to help students configure their computer for access to St. Lawrence network resources, ensure that the computer is free from viruses and spyware and make sure that all Windows or OSX updates have been installed.
Who should come to ResNet?
Any student who would like help configuring their computer. ResNet is not mandatory, however your computer must have an Anti-Virus program and be set to automatically run Windows or OSX updates. If you would like to configure your own computer, check out our Information for Students page for instructions to configure wireless and network drive access
What should I bring to ResNet?
Laptop users will need to bring their power cord, desktop users just need to bring their tower.
What else should I know?
We recommend that all students bring their system recovery CD's to campus as they may be required to fix your computer. Also, during ResNet is the best time to get your computer configured for the St. Lawrence network as we have a large staff available and ready to assist you. After ResNet, computers checked in for repair at the IT HelpDesk can expect repair times from 3 days to a couple weeks depending on the situation
