If you have DVD media from regions 2-6, these will not play using the standard PowerDVD software. The VLC media player has been installed on each instructor station and will provided this capability in the classroom.

To use the VLC media player to display a non region 1 DVD in an eSpace:

1. Turn on the projector and set the input to display the computer
2. Put your DVD in the DVD drive
3. Close any applications that pop-up (including PowerDVD)
4. Choose the Windows Start button (lower left corner of the desktop)
5. Choose 'All Programs'
6. Choose the 'VideoLAN' folder, and select the 'VLC media player'
   • The application will open
7. From the 'File' menu, choose 'Open Disc...'
   • The DVD will begin to play
8. From the 'Video' menu, you may choose 'Full Screen'
9. Double click the screen to return to Windows
10. Click the standard player controls as you would use a standard remote control
