- First Setup
- Click here to download Thunderbird. Follow the steps to install.
- Select Email Account, click Next
- Enter your Full Name and Email Address
- Enter the server information:
- Choose IMAP

- Incoming Server:

| Students - mail2.stlawu.edu |
- Outgoing Server: smtp.stlawu.edu

- Enter your Network Username for both Incoming and Outgoing Username
- Leave the Account Name as is, click Next
- Enter your Network Password when prompted.
- NOTE: If you are doing this from home just click Cancel. There is another setting necessary to make this work from off campus
- Account Settings
- Click Tools at the top of the window and select Account Settings.
- On the left hand side, click Server Settings.
- Under Security Settings select SSL.
- On the left hand side, click Outgoing Server (SMTP)
- Select your username and click Edit.
- Select SSL and make sure the port changes to 465. and confirm the Server Name is smtp.stlawu.edu
- Check use name and password, and enter your network username and password.
- Click Composition & Addressing.
- Under Addressing select Use a different LDAP Server and click Edit Directories
- Click Add and enter the following information:
- Name: SLU Campus
- Hostname: ldap.stlawu.edu
- Base DN: dc=stlawu, dc=edu
- Click OK to save changes
