The Student Mail Center hours are as follows -

Purchasing Stamps
Stamps are available for purchase at the Student Mail Center (SMC) with your Community Wide Account (CWA) only. If you only have cash, you may purchase stamps in the following ways:
- North Country Savings Bank, 3rd Fl of Sullivan Student Center
- At ATM's
- The Brewer Bookstore Entryway
- Sullivan Student Center atrium, outside the SMC
Sending Mail
The Student Mail Center accepts stamped mail and packages. ALL mail leaves the Student Mail Center (SMC) by 1:30 PM each day, Monday through Friday. We do not have pickup over the weekend.

Student Organization Mailings
The SMC only accepts mass mailings from officially recognized campus
organizations. All student organization mailings are subject to
authorization by the Office of Student Activities & Leadership. In compliance with the Office of Student Activities rules, your event must follow University policies and we will not be allowed to do any advertising of off-campus alcohol events. You can contact the Student Activities office with any questions you may have. Student Organizations are now required
to stuff their own mailings into the student mail boxes. For more details on
this new process please contact the SMC at x5710.
Student Campus Mailbox Information
For your security, mailbox combinations will not be given out in person at the SMC window and staff will not be able to open your SMC mailbox for you unless it is determined to be broken. The Student Mail Center does not guarantee that you will keep the same mailbox after your return to the university from a withdrawal. This does not include those students studying abroad. This only pertains to those students that withdraw or transfer out of SLU.
HOW TO FIND AND USE YOUR STUDENT MAIL CENTER (SMC) NUMBER AND COMBINATION
Finding your SMC Number:
- Type http://esaint.stlawu.edu into your web browser
- Once you are on the login page, enter your SLU name and password
- Choose MY INFO from the 4 tabs at the top
- There you will find your SMC number, combination and opening instructions
Opening Instructions:
- Begin by turning the knob 4 or more times COUNTERCLOCKWISE landing on your first number
- Now turn the knob CLOCKWISE passing by your first number and ending at your second number
- Next turn the knob COUNTERCLOCKWISE and stop on the last number of your combination.
- You will now need to turn AND pull at the same time CLOCKWISE until it opens.
Campus Mailings Information
All mailings should contain a RETURN address. If there is not a return
address on the item you are mailing, or if you are sending a large mailing, please be sure that you include a completed Student Mail Transmittal Form. The SMC only accepts mass mailings from on-campus organizations; nothing from off-campus.
If you are mailing to one particular group, such as all seniors, you do not need to label each individual piece, but have a note attached tell us what group it is for: example "ALL SENIORS". Here are the number of active students per class year when sending to particular class years.Seniors '12 = 567, Juniors '13 = 541, Sophomores '14 = 583 & First Year '15 = 660.
If you are sending a mailing to a large group but not any one class year, please be sure to label each individual piece with the students Student Mail Center (SMC) # and put them in numerical order.
