Card Swipe Changes
Information Technology has completed the
transition to using the large stripe on your card for coping and
printing. Faculty and staff will no longer need to bring their cards
to office services for encoding. After receiving a new card it could
take up to 24 hours for the new card to get into the system. If you
are having issues using the large stripe please call the IT Help Desk
(x5770). Departmental cards will continue to use the thin strip and be
encoded at Office Services.
Scanning
Information technology is working to implement a
scanning solution that will allow you to scan from each copier to email
or your P drive. As soon as it is ready training and documentation
will be provided.
Printing
Each copier can now be used as a printer. Printing
to a copier is much less expensive to the university than printing to a
laser printer or ink jet printer. We encourage everyone to print to a
copier whenever possible. If you need assistance printing to a copier
please contact the IT Help Desk (x5770). More information on printing

Toner and Staple Ordering
In order to be more efficient, we will
be changing
the way toner and staples are ordered for your copiers. Please order your toner
directly from IKON. This is a very easy process and take less
than 5 minutes. Office Services does keep a limited amount of toner
and staples for emergencies. To order toner and staples do the

- Call IKON at 1-888-456-6457 choose option 3
- You will be asked for your machine Id number. This is located on
the IKON sticker on the front of your copier. - Ask that the toner be shipped to your attention, include your
department and building in the address.
Call in Broken Copiers
Problems with printing to a copier should
be called into the IT Help Desk. Physical problems with the copier
(jamming, paper feed problems, etc) can also be called into the IT Help
Desk (x5770) or reported using the service request form on
the Office Services Website.

Paper Ordering
Paper for copiers can be ordered by using the
service request form on the Office Services Website. I want to
stress that this paper is for use in the copiers only and should be
stored and labeled separately from your departmental printer paper.
