Listserv Use and Archives
We ask that you do not allow graphics or attachments in messages sent to a list. This increases the size of the files greatly and uses a large amount of bandwidth and disk space. Size and color formatting is perfectly acceptable.
Outline of available lists and intended use
Unofficial business and discussion. This is the most appropriate list to use when you desire to advertise rental opportunities, items for sale, or other such topics.
Official university business or information of interest to both faculty and staff members. All faculty and staff members are included in this list. All members may unsubscribe from this listserv, in order to stop receiving messages, by sending an e-mail to listserv@listserv.stlawu.edu. The subject should be "unsubscribe" and the body of the message should say "unsubscribe facstaff".
Faculty (subset of Facstaff)
Faculty members only are included in this list. This list is used for official university business or information of interest to faculty only. All St. Lawrence University faculty are members of this listserv and cannot unsubscribe. This listserv membership is managed by the Dean's Office.
SLUEmployee
All St. Lawrence University faculty and staff with e-mail access accounts are members of this listserv and cannot unsubscribe. Only official university announcements pertaining to administrative or security issues will be communicated on this listserv. The ability to send messages to this listserv will be limited to designated people in departments such as: President's Office, Vice President of the University's Office, Security Office, University Communications, Administrative Operations, Facilities Operations, Human Resources, Business Office, and Information Technology.
Information regarding the Administrative Life Council (ALC) and its actions of primary interest to administrative staff.
Class Lists
Official university business of interest to students. There are lists for each class, e.g. SLU2008@listserv.stlawu.edu.
To send a message to these lists, search the address book by year of graduation. These lists are moderated, so there will be a delay.
The archives of these lists are accessible from the links above. If you don't see your list, try our main archive page.
If you wish to view the archives but are sent to a page with a prompt for an e-mail address and password, you must get a new listserv password first by clicking the link and following the instructions. Then you can use your new password, along with your SLU email address to view the files in the archives. You must be a member of the list to view the archive.
