Wireless Configuration for Mac OS X 10.5 or later

Configure OSX - 10.7/10.8 (Lion/Mountain Lion)

  • Click on the wireless network icon in the upper right section of your toolbar (and make sure that your airport is turned on)
  • Your airport card will automatically look for available wireless networks
  • Select slu-wifi
  • Enter
    your St. Lawrence network username and password and check the box next to "Remember this network"
  • Click Join
  • If a window titled "Verify Certificate" appears, click Continue
  • If you are connected, there should be a checkmark next to slu-wifi in your wireless network icon

Configure OSX - 10.6 (Snow Leopard)

  • Click on the wireless network icon in the upper right section of your toolbar (and make sure that your airport is turned on)
  • Your airport card will automatically look for available wireless networks
  • Select slu-wifi
  • Enter your St. Lawrence network username and password, leaving the 802.1X set to automatic and "Remember this network" checkbox checked
  • Click OK
  • If you are connected, there should be a checkmark next to slu-wifi in your wireless network icon
Configure OSX - 10.5 (Leopard)
  • Click on the wireless network icon in the upper right section of your toolbar (and make sure that your airport is turned on)
  • Your airport card will automatically look for available wireless networks
  • Select slu-wifi
  • Enter your St. Lawrence network username and password, leaving the 802.1X set to automatic and "Remember this network" checkbox checked
  • Click OK
  • If you are connected, there should be a checkmark next to slu-wifi in your wireless network icon
