What
is ANGEL?
ANGEL
is a tool for creating online course components, similar to BlackBoard or WebCT. Created by educators at ANGEL Learning,
ANGEL is an acronym
which stands for "A New Global Environment
for Learning".
SLU faculty report the ANGEL system to be
easy to use, offering a great deal of
flexibility in building course components. Using ANGEL, faculty may
easily post syllabi, schedules,
announcements, quizzes,
surveys, provide discussion forums -- and now, with version 7.2, also wikis and blogs! Most any digital file format can be uploaded to ANGEL. Instructors also have the
ability to
create electronic assignment drop boxes, create groups and collaborative group workspace,
manage an online gradebook,
and choose from a variety of features
which help track student progress
within the course.
